Studio Policies

Sonny Pilates is committed to creating an empowering, inclusive, and safe environment for both clients and staff. The following in-studio policies apply to everyone.

  • The minimum age to attend is 16. If you are under 18, you must provide parental consent on our liability waiver.

  • For safety reasons, grip socks are required for all classes at Sonny Pilates, including both group classes and private sessions. All participants must wear grip socks for the duration of the class.

Grip socks provide added traction and stability on Pilates equipment, helping to prevent slipping and reduce the risk of injury.

If needed, grip socks are available for purchase at the studio.

To ensure the safety of all clients, Sonny Pilates reserves the right to deny class participation to anyone not wearing grip socks.

  • To maintain the clean, calm, and elevated environment of our studio, Sonny Pilates is a no-shoes studio.

We kindly ask that all street shoes be removed before entering the studio space. Shoes may be placed neatly on the designated racks or in the entry area.

  • Instructors and class offerings are subject to change without notice. Please refer to the live schedule for the most up-to-date information.

Group classes require a minimum of three participants to run. Classes with fewer than three enrolled participants may be canceled or removed from the schedule at Sonny Pilates’ discretion.

If a class does not meet the minimum enrollment, clients will be notified and the class credit will be returned to their account for future use. When availability allows, clients may choose to move to another group class the same day. Clients may request to convert a canceled group class into a private session for an additional charge, subject to instructor availability.

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to set yourself up for success. There will be no late admission to class in order to respect our clients’ time and safety. Doors will be locked once class starts.

  • Sonny Pilates has a strict 12 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations can be made through our app or website. If you cancel before the 12 hour window, there is no penalty and any eligible credits will return to your account. If you cancel within the 12 hour window, you will forfeit the credit. No-shows will forfeit the credit and incur a $20 no-show fee.

  • If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. Our system will automatically add you to the class once a spot opens up. The waitlist moves fast. If you are on the waitlist and are no longer able to attend class, please remove yourself as soon as possible. If you are added from the waitlist and do not attend the class, you will be considered a “no show” and standard cancellation policies will apply.

  • If you are new to Pilates or our the studio, we recommend prenatal clients schedule a private session prior to joining group classes. If you are less than 20 weeks pregnant, you are permitted to take all class formats. If over 20 weeks, we recommend our Signature class, Restorative class, or private sessions. Consult with your doctor before attending.

  • Clients must have clearance from their doctor before returning after pregnancy. We recommend a few private sessions to assess your goals and set you up for success.

  • It is the responsibility of the client to notify the instructor of any ailments or injuries that apply. While we do our best to accommodate injuries, we are not medical professionals. Our instructors reserve the right to restrict a client from taking particular class formats if it might impact their safety.

  • Sonny Pilates is not responsible for lost or stolen items. If you believe you left something behind, please contact us as soon as possible so we can try to locate the item.

  • You are welcome to take photos before and after class, but phone use is prohibited during the 50-minute session. If you need to check your phone in the case of an emergency, please inform the instructor before class starts.

  • Sonny Pilates reserves the right to cancel a class at any time, including within the cancellation window, due to unforeseen circumstances. These may include, but are not limited to, instructor availability, illness, emergencies, weather, or maintaining the minimum enrollment required to provide a high-quality class experience.

We always aim to avoid cancellations and will make every effort to provide advance notice when possible. If a class is canceled by the studio, all clients will be notified, and any associated class credits will be returned to the client’s account. No cancellation or no-show fees will apply in the event of a studio-initiated cancellation.

  • The safety of our staff and clients is our number one priority. Sonny Pilates has a zero tolerance policy for discrimination and harassment. Any allegations of discrimination or harassment will be investigated and addressed immediately by our management team.
